南京英孚青少儿英语：Enough 的用法

1、形容词 enough 作“充足的”、“足够的”讲，作定语时，可位于所修鹘埙沃础饰的名词前后The coal isenoughfor two years. 这些煤足供两年用。（表语）We haveenoughtime (或 timeenough) to read the reference books.我们有足够的时间阅读参考书。（定语）The Smiths haveenoughmoney (或 moneyenough) for John to buy a car. 史密斯家有钱，足够给约翰买一辆汽车。（同上）注：当 enough 所修饰的名词后面跟有较长的状语修饰时，enough 更宜于置于所修饰的名词后面（见上述第 2，3 句）。此外，若用形容词 sufficient 代替 enough 作定语时，则它只能位于所修饰的名词前面。

2、副词 enough 作“够”讲。它修饰形容词、副词或动词时，一般位于其后面We were fortunateenoughto get an empty car.（当时）我们运气够好，搞到了一辆空车。When the molecules of a solid move fastenough, the solid melts and becomes a liquid. 当固体分子运动足够快时，固体就熔融并变为液体。He has talkedquite enoughfor today. 他今天说话说够了。

3、名词 enough 作“充足”、“足够”、“足够的东西”讲Most people here haveenoughto eat and sufficient to put on。这里大多数人都是丰衣足食。I have hadenough. Thank you. 我已经够了，谢谢您。She has hadenoughof somebody (或 something).她对某人（或某事）已感到腻烦而无法再容忍。（由“对……受够”引申过来。）

4、注意有时 enough 在句型“cannot… too much”中可代替其中的 too much。其实这是由“够了”引伸到具有“太多”或“多了”之意。You cannot takeenough(=too much) care. 你不论怎么小心，也不会过分。Hecouldn'tgo back fastenough. 他恨不得马上回去。（原意为：我回去速度无论多快，都不可能算够快。）注：应注意上下文和语序，下面句子就不属于本句型：He has lived in London for ten years，but strangelyenoughhe can't speak English. 他在伦敦住了十年，但够奇怪的是他不会讲英语。（插入语）

5、enough 的其它用法Ten yards of carpet will beenough and to spare. 十码地毯将绰绰有余。I was foolenoughto believe. 我（当时）傻到信以为真。I wasenoughof a fool not to think of that. 我真傻到没有想到那件事。He said he would come, and sureenoughhe came. 他说要来，后来果然来了。That’senoughof this nonsense. 一派胡言（已经）够了!
