1、我们继续分析《傲慢与偏见》中的段落："Is that his design in settlinghere?"“他住到这儿来，就是为了这个打算吗？”"Design! nonsense, how can you talk so!But it is very likely that he may fall in love with one of them, and thereforeyou must visit him as soon as he comes."“打算！胡扯，这是哪儿的话！不过，他倒作兴看中我们的某一个女儿呢。他一搬来，你就得去拜访拜访他。”住到这儿来：settling here这个打算：his design胡扯：nonsense这是哪儿的话：how can you talk so这里我们注意到design，这个词很妙，也就是设计好的，还有啊，in 表达出了目的的意味，也就是搬到这里住的目的。还有就是感叹句，表达出的一种说话人的语气。看中我们的某一个女儿：fall in love with one of them其实这里是“爱上”，当然，中文可以很活的，“看中”一样可以表达意思，而且用得很好。

When a woman has five grown up daughters, she ought to give over thinking of her own beauty."“我的好老爷，你太捧我啦。从前也的确有人赞赏过我的美貌，现在我可有敢说有什么出众的地方了。一个女人家有了五个成年的女儿，就不该对自己的美貌再转什么念头。”捧我：flatter me我的美貌：my share of beauty有什么出众的地方：any thing extraordinary五个成年的女儿：five grown up daughters不该对自己的美貌再转什么念头：give over thinking of her own beauty这里的flatter，你会用了吗？其余的表达，都很独特，值得我们学习。尤其是最后，give over 的用法。比如，我们可以说：Do not flatter me! He is flattering me!Give over your idea of going to the park otday.

4、而且，此处采用引用的手法的这句话：When a woman has five grown up daughters, she ought to give over thinking of her own beauty.这叫做借别人之口，表达自己的所想。挺有味道的，意思是，这是规律。我们也可以多积累，更有说服力。以后我们可以多多积累一些这样的句子，跟外国人沟通就更容易啦！

5、综上所述，我们明白了逐字的意思，还有文章的意思，就更能把握语言的灵活运用了。其实，分析句子和看懂文章，还真不是一个词或一个句子就能看明白的，需要的是整体把握，会看到更多。
